Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center

• Houses both the training center and competition site for Kent State Gymnastics.
• Training center was constructed in 1979 as an addition onto Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.
• Houses the team’s locker room and athletic training facilities.
• Meets are held in the MACC's main gym, which holds 6,327 fans.
• Training site includes: 2 sets of AAI ELITE uneven bars with overhead belt systems, 4 AAI ELITE balance beams, 2 AAI vaulting tables, 1 40'x40' AAI Stratum floor with Palmer Power springs, 60' vault and tumbling strip to allow for resi-pit use, a 25' Tumble Trak, and extra mats and training aids needed for collegiate gymnastics.
• Training facility is located between the M.A.C. Center and the M.A.C. Center Annex on Janik Drive off East Summit Street

Directions From the North

I-71 or I-77 or I-271 to I-480 east
• I-480 becomes St. Rt.14.
• Stay on St. Rt. 14 into Streetsboro (Interstate map).
• Take St. Rt. 43 south from Streetsboro to Kent (5 miles).
• Stay on Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 59 (Haymaker Parkway).
• Turn left onto St. Rt. 59.
• At next traffic light turn right onto South Water Street (still St. Rt. 43).
• Turn left at first traffic light onto Summit Street.
• Stay on Summit Street.
• At 5th traffic light turn left onto Risman Drive.
• Risman Drive curves to the left in front of the Student Center.
• The MAC Center is the second building on the right.

Directions From the South

I-71 / I-77 to I-76 east (Interstate map) to St. Rt. 43 north (exit 33)
• Stay on St. Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 261 (less than 2 miles).
• Turn right onto St. Rt. 261.
• Turn left onto Campus Center Drive.
• At stop sign turn left onto Campus Center Drive West.
• Proceed to next traffic light.
• Go straight onto Risman Drive.
• Risman Drive curves to the left in front of the Student Center.
• The MAC Center is the second building on the right.

Directions From the East

Ohio Turnpike to exit 187
• Take St. Rt. 14 to Streetsboro (Interstate map).
• Take St. Rt. 43 south to Kent (5 miles).
• Stay on Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 59 (Haymaker Parkway).
• Turn left onto St. Rt. 59.
• At next traffic light turn right onto South Water Street (still St. Rt. 43).
• Turn left at first traffic light onto Summit Street.
• Stay on Summit Street.
• At 5th traffic light turn left onto Risman Drive.
• Risman Drive curves to the left in front of the Student Center.
• The MAC Center is the second building on the right.

St. Rt. 59 to St. Rt. 261
• Turn left onto St. Rt. 261.
• Go about 1 mile to the traffic light at Summit Road.
• Turn right onto Summit Road.
• At 3rd traffic light turn right onto Risman Drive.
• Risman Drive curves to the left in front of the Student Center.
• The MAC Center is the second building on the right.

I-76 to St. Rt. 43 north (exit 33)
• Stay on St. Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 261 (less than 2 miles).
• Turn right onto St. Rt.261.
• Turn left onto Campus Center Drive.
• At first stop sign turn left onto Campus Center Drive West.

I-76 to St. Rt. 43 north (exit 33)

St. Rt. 261
• Take St. Rt. 261 to Campus Center Drive (1/4 mile past St. Rt. 43).
• Turn left onto Campus Center Drive.
• At stop sign turn left onto Campus Center Drive West.
• At traffic light go straight onto Risman Drive.
• Risman Drive curves to the left in front of the Student Center.
• The MAC Center is the second building on the right.
